Who is responsible

Marset is a sportswear business based in Abuja, Nigeria. We are responsible for the personal information collected through our website, customer accounts, orders and customer support.

For privacy questions or requests, email info@marset.world. This policy is written for our use of personal information under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

What we collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, selected products and order details. We also keep payment references, payment status and records of refunds or exchanges.

If you create an account, we keep the details needed to manage it and your order history. If you contact us, we keep your message and the information needed to answer it. A newsletter sign-up records your email address.

The website and its hosting services receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information and requests made to the site. Cart and login cookies support the shopping and account features.

Your chosen payment provider processes the payment details you enter through its service. Do not send card numbers, PINs, passwords or one-time payment codes to customer support.

How we use it

We use order and contact details to take payment, arrange delivery, send order updates and handle support, returns and refunds. This is necessary to carry out your purchase or answer a request before you buy.

We keep records where needed for accounting, legal obligations and complaints. We use technical and account information to maintain the website, prevent misuse and investigate security problems. Where we rely on a legitimate interest, we must weigh that interest against your rights.

Marketing is optional. If you sign up for updates, we use your email address to manage that subscription. You can withdraw your consent by emailing us. Order and support messages are separate from marketing. Browsing the website does not, by itself, give consent to marketing.

Who receives your information

Service providers receive the information they need to do their work. This can include payment providers, couriers, website hosting and email services. A courier needs delivery and contact details. A payment provider needs the information required to process a payment.

We may disclose information where the law requires it or where needed to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell customer contact details.

Where a provider processes information outside Nigeria, the transfer must have a lawful basis and the safeguards required by applicable data protection law.

Cookies

Cookies help the store remember your cart and keep you signed in. You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings, but the cart, checkout or account features may stop working correctly.

Cookie information is separate from the details you submit when ordering or contacting us.

How long we keep information

We keep order, payment and refund records for the periods needed to meet accounting and legal obligations and resolve complaints. Account information is kept while the account is active, subject to any records we still need after it is closed.

Support records are kept for the time needed to resolve the issue and deal with related claims. Subscription information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. We may keep a limited record of an opt-out so that we do not send you further marketing.

When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or made anonymous. A deletion request does not require us to remove records we must retain by law.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict its use or receive it in a portable format. You can object to certain uses, including direct marketing, and withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

Email info@marset.world with your request. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information. If a legal exception limits what we can do, we will explain it.

You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. You do not need our permission to do so.

Keeping information safe

We limit access to customer information to the people and service providers who need it for their work. Keep your account password private and contact us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information without the consent required by law, contact us so that we can investigate.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy when our data practices change and show the effective date of the new version. A policy update does not create consent for a new use of your information.
